Cobb Unite!!!  Needs Volunteers...

**Collect food in your neighborhood and bring the food to the drive on the 27th.

**Get your sports team or school organization involved in the drive.

**Ask your company or coworkers to participate.

**Your Sunday or Weekday Bible Study class can help collect and sort on the 27th.

**You can volunteer to man the donation truck on Saturday, January 12, 19 or 26th from 10am - 4pm
or Sunday, January 27 from 2-5pm..

**Pray for the community to come together and reach the goal of 700,000 cans! God can do it!

Hope your year has gotten off to a great start!  As we start 2013, I want you to know we are thankful for your service at the church and in our community. It is a pleasure to serve with you and share the Love of Christ in so many tangible ways.

We have an opportunity this January to prepare ALL of the food pantries in Cobb County to be ready to accomodate families in need in 2013. Many churches and organizations in Cobb are UNITING forces to collect 700,000 food items by January 27.

Here at Johnson Ferry we will be participating by having our church-wide food drive on January 27 as well as being a collection site on the weekends for the community to participate.

  1. Telling your friends and neighbors - if you'd like to have a collection in your neighborhood, we can provide you with "pickup time" postcards.
  2. Volunteer to Collect and Sort food on Saturday or Sunday at Johnson Ferry. You can pick a 2 hour slot.
    Saturday, Jan 12,19, or 26 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
    Sunday, Jan 13, 20, or 27 between 2 and 5 p.m.
  3. Encourage your SBS class to participate and be collectors on January 27th DURING your SBS hour. The whole class or just a few can participate.
  4. Email to sign up or ask questions.

This is a great opportunity for individuals, families and small groups. Collection Bags are currently available at the doors so pick up a list anytime! Click for more Info
Thanks for your service!
